# Helpful Tips:

01 -
  • This smoothie takes exactly five minutes from cabinet to glass which means no excuses on busy mornings.
  • The matcha gives you calm focused energy without the jitters that coffee sometimes brings.
02 -
  • Matcha clumps stubbornly in liquid so if you do not have a high speed blender sift the powder first or whisk it with a splash of warm water before adding it to the blender.
  • Freezing your banana ahead of time eliminates the need for ice entirely and makes the texture impossibly thick and milkshake like.
03 -
  • Start with one and a half teaspoons of matcha if you are new to it and work your way up because the flavor can be surprisingly bold if your palate is not used to it.
  • A pinch of salt sounds strange but it tames bitterness and makes the sweetness pop in a way that will make you wonder why you never did it before.
