Strawberries & Cream Overnight Oats (Printable Version)

Creamy oats with juicy strawberries, ready overnight

# What You Need:

→ Base Ingredients

01 - 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
02 - 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
03 - 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt

→ Fruit & Sweeteners

04 - 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and diced
05 - 2 tablespoons strawberry jam (optional)
06 - 1-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup

→ Flavorings

07 - 1 tablespoon chia seeds
08 - 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
09 - Pinch of salt

→ Optional Toppings

10 - Additional sliced strawberries
11 - Granola
12 - Chopped nuts

# How-To Steps:

01 - In a medium bowl or large jar, mix together the oats, milk, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir thoroughly until fully incorporated and smooth.
02 - Gently fold in the diced strawberries and strawberry jam if using, ensuring even distribution throughout the mixture.
03 - Divide the oat mixture evenly between two jars or containers, leaving about half an inch of space at the top for toppings.
04 - Cover containers tightly and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight. The oats will soften and absorb the liquid, creating a creamy consistency.
05 - In the morning, stir the oats well and add a splash of milk if the consistency is too thick. Top with additional sliced strawberries, granola, or chopped nuts before serving.

# Helpful Tips:

01 -
  • Wake up to breakfast thats already waiting for you, no morning effort required
  • The oats soften into this impossibly creamy pudding-like texture while you sleep
  • Customizable enough that youll never get bored with the same combination twice
02 -
  • The oats will continue softening the longer they sit, so 6 hours is my sweet spot for texture that still has some bite
  • Chia seeds can clump together if you dont stir them in really well at the beginning
  • Mason jars with wide mouths make this so much easier to stir and eat from directly
03 -
  • Toast your oats in a dry pan for 3 minutes before soaking to add a nutty depth that's honestly worth the extra step
  • Mix your jam with a teaspoon of warm water before adding so it distributes evenly instead of clumping
